LSR SERIES HIGH-FREQUENCY RADAR LEVEL TRANSMITTER

The LSR series meter is a 80GHz & 120GHz high-frequency radar-based level measurement instrument, with a maximum measurement range of up to 80 meters. The antenna has been further optimized, and the new high-speed microprocessor allows for faster signal analysis and processing. This makes the instrument suitable for complex measurement conditions, such as in reaction vessels and solid material silos.

    Features

    Introduction

    The LSR series sensor is a 80GHz & 120GHz high-frequency radar-based level measurement instrument, with a maximum measurement range of up to 80 meters. The antenna has been further optimized, and the new high-speed microprocessor allows for faster signal analysis and processing. This makes the instrument suitable for complex measurement conditions, such as in reaction vessels and solid material silos.

    Principle

    The radar level antenna emits narrow microwave pulses, which are transmitted downward through the antenna. When the microwaves contact the surface of the measured medium, they are reflected back and received again by the antenna system. The signal is then transmitted to the electronic circuitry and automatically converted into a level signal. (Since microwaves travel at an extremely fast speed, the time it takes for the electromagnetic waves to reach the target and return to the receiver is almost instantaneous.)
